The Objectives for the study were to study an opinion level of Riverine Squadron; to study the personal’s factors affecting opinion level; and to know the comments of the suitable task of riverine patrol boat characteristics such as hull characteristics, capability characteristics, weapon characteristics besides communication, and electronics tools characteristics.
Result of the study can be use in boat planning procure process. The suitable task of riverine patrol boat characteristics can be use for making a boat specifications at the beginning, Staff Target, before making the detials of a boat, Staff Requirement.
Data were collected from two hundred stuffs of the Third Riverine Division personnel. Questionnaire was used for data collecting. Percentage, mean, standard diviation, and t-Test were used for data analysed. The results to found that
1. The opinion of Riverine Squadron personnel on the suitable task of riverine patrol boat characteristics was in the agree level. The highest agree opinion was the weapon of personnel forces should change from tiny long gun to tiny trick gun and the lowest agree opinion was machine gun, .50 inches sizes, should use single platform instead of pair platform. The opinion of riverine squadron personnel agrees on the suitable task of riverine patrol boat characteristics was more than 90 percentages. The hypothesis was accepted. 2. The personal’s factors affecting the opinion level were rank, serving time in Navy, and job characteristics. While serving time in Riverine Squadron, and serving time at Mekong Riverine Unit were not affecting the opinion.
